Village Hall for Hire in Lancashire

Samlesbury War Memorial Hall is a registered charity and non-profit organisation run by local trustees and volunteers for the benefit of the people of the parish and for the use of the wider population. It is situated in the rural village of Samlesbury, in Ribble Valley, yet only a few minutes from Preston and Blackburn.

Just 2 miles from M6 junction 31 and less than a mile from the A59, it has ample off road parking.

History

The hall was built in 1923 as a memorial to local lads who fought and lost their lives in World War 1. Over the years the hall has been extended and improved to provide better facilities for the use of the local community.

This well-maintained facility is versatile and suitable for various events.

It features a large open hall, two meeting rooms that can be combined to create a larger area, fully equipped kitchen plus an outside patio area and gardens.

Available for parties and celebrations of all kinds, weddings, christenings, dance lessons or exercise classes, performances, quiz nights, charity events, children’s parties, meetings and training sessions.

With multi-purpose usage, a convenient location and ample off street parking it is an excellent venue for any event.

The hall is well-equipped with everything we need to host meetings, workshops, and other events, and the committee are always on hand to offer support and guidance. We booked the hall for our New Years Eve party. What a fantastic venue! Good facilities all round, plenty of chairs and tables and a very reasonable price too. We would definitely go back again.

We have run salsa dance classes, workshops and events at Samlesbury War Memorial Hall for some years now and we love it. It's such a versatile venue. The booking secretary is very helpful and the online booking system is very easy to use. The committee will always make every effort to make your use of the hall easy, pleasant and are happy to help.

The Memorial Hall is an excellent venue for all types of events. The ability to use either one or both of the committee rooms or the main hall gives maximum flexibility for whatever we want to do. The buildings are always well presented and clean and the hall management are easy to deal with and unfailingly helpful. I'm always recommending the Hall to anyone who needs a space’

We are a local group of home educating families who’ve taken up residence at SWMH for a few hours every couple of weeks to meet and get our kids together to socialise and explore their own interests. All our families have been impressed with the standard of accommodation at the hall, particularly the garden and outdoor space; the facilities provided - we all LOVE the toilets with mini-cloakroom, and the kitchen works so well for us! The hall space is ideal, it feels clean and well-loved and the A/V system is easy to navigate. It’s private and feels secure, we love having our time there

We recently hired the hall for our daughters 6th birthday party. It had excellent modern facilities from kitchen to a large hall, to clean toilets. There is plenty of room in the car park and also access to the outside field. The hall was clean and tidy and very well maintained. It was easy to book using the online system. I will definitely be using the hall for any future events and cannot recommend this beautiful building enough

Used Samlesbury War Memorial Hall for our children’s graduation celebration. Overall great hall and services are perfect, the communication was excellent.... Very spacious inside and out. Gardens are a lovely added bonus, and the extra rooms helped with segregation and prayer rooms should you need. Use of Wi-Fi, projector, music, mic, disco balls are all extras which you don’t normally get and full kitchen facilities are also another bonus.

Directions

From junction 31 on M6, follow signs towards Blackburn and head up the dual carriageway (A59). Get into the right hand lane as you reach the top of the hill, go right around the roundabout and head back towards Preston. Almost immediately, at the traffic lights turn left (Cuerdale Lane). The Memorial Hall is 200mts along on the right.

From Clitheroe (A59) or Blackburn (A677), turn left at the traffic lights at Euro Garages Five Barred Gate onto Cuerdale Lane. The Hall is 200m along on the right.
